Parking at the Gatwick Moat House

The easiest parking option at the Moat House Gatwick is to leave your car in the hotel's on-site multi-storey car park for the duration of your holiday. If you would rather drive it to the airport yourself, then the Airparks Gatwick Park and Ride option is easy and simple. Alternatively, use the Maple Manor Meet and Greet service to have your car collected from the hotel and dropped off at the secured car park for you. Whatever parking option you choose, leaving your car is never a hassle at the Gatwick Moat House.

Procedures

If you've paid to leave your car at the hotel for your holiday, you should park your vehicle in the car park at the Moat House Gatwick and go straight to check in. The car park is monitored by CCTV and regularly patrolled, so you can rest easy knowing that your car is safe.

The other options include a great value Park and Ride service with Airparks Gatwick, or the convenient Maple Manor Meet and Greet service, in which an attendant will take your car from the hotel to a secured car park and then drop it back to you when you arrive at the terminal after your holiday.

Getting to and from Gatwick airport

If you're leaving your car at the hotel, a shuttle bus stops at the Moat House Gatwick and travels to both of the Gatwick airport terminals. The bus operates 24 hours a day and takes around five minutes to reach the airport. It departs from the hotel every 15 minutes from 5am until midnight, and every half an hour from midnight until 5am. If you're using Gatwick Airparks the Park and Ride service will take you from the Airparks car park to the Gatwick terminals.

Harriet's Restaurant is the gastronomic hub of the Moat House Gatwick and serves everything, from pasta dishes to curry, risotto and salads. The menu at Harriet's Restaurant is full of delicious choices, offering everything from pasta to curries, steaks, risottos and salads. There's plenty for kids to love too, with a special Pirate's Paradise menu that gives them their own unique meal options to choose from. Don't assume that it's all traditional British pub grub though; there's a classy edge to Harriet's offerings, with cuisine such as bacon, mushroom and cheddar filo basket with rocket to start, and grilled sea bass for a main. Dessert is equally indulgent, featuring favourites such as chocolate brownie with ice cream. Breakfast is served at Harriet's and is available from 6am to 10am. At whatever hour you're feeling hungry, the 24-hour room service is on hand to keep you satisfied. For around £12.

The Lounge Bar

The Lounge Bar is the place to be if you're after some lighter bites: perfect for those with smaller appetites, or travellers who want to leave room for an in-flight meal. For around £12, the lighter bites at the Lounge Bar are perfectly suited to those who don't want to board their flight or head off to bed feeling too full. There's a selection of delicious snacks on offer, including burgers, scampi and chips, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and soups.

The Gatwick Moat House couldn't be easier to find, particularly because it's so close to the Gatwick airport site.

  • If you're arriving by car, exit the M23 at junction 9 and head towards Gatwick airport, taking the second exit at the first roundabout.
  • Follow the A23 and continue for a mile until you reach the roundabout by the petrol station. Here, take the second exit (signposted Charlwood) onto Povey Cross Road.
  • You'll see the Moat House Gatwick on the left, with parking at the back of the building.

You can take a taxi from the Gatwick terminals to the hotel for around £6, which is ideal if you're in a rush to check in. Arriving by rail is easy, as trains arrive to Gatwick's South terminal and you can then take the bus G1 or G3 from Stop 9 directly to the Moat House Gatwick. From the North terminal, take the bus from Stop 8. The shuttle costs £1.50 for a child, and runs every half an hour, with a journey time of 15 minutes.
