Parking at the Days Hotel Gatwick couldn’t be more straightforward. There are two different options to suit your needs: leave your vehicle at the hotel car park, or store it in one of the Gatwick airport car parks nearby.

Procedures

When you arrive at the Gatwick Days Hotel, check in and find a space for your vehicle. If you’ve arranged a package to leave the car at the hotel for the whole of your holiday, then hand over your keys and an attendant will do the hard work for you – and when you return from your trip, they will bring it to the front of the hotel to greet you.

If you would rather have more control, then you can leave your car in front of the Days Gatwick Hotel for free overnight. Before your flight, you can make your way to the Gatwick airport North and South Long Stay car parks and take the airport shuttle bus from there to your terminal. This service is included in the price of your parking and runs every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day.

Getting to and from Gatwick airport

If you’re leaving your car at the Gatwick Days Hotel for your holiday period, then you will need to catch the shuttle bus from the hotel to the Gatwick terminals. Let the hotel reception know and they’ll book you a seat on the shuttle bus, which operates between 6am and midnight and costs £4 per person. The bus takes around ten minutes to reach the airport and leaves from outside the hotel – but make sure you leave enough time for traffic, in case the bus takes a little longer to reach Gatwick airport.

Over-stay charges

If you should be delayed returning from holiday, extended parking will be charged at the normal daily rate for the hotel or the car parking facility you have chosen.

There’s a 24-hour room service menu for snacks whenever you like, as well as the charming Watershed restaurant and bar. Sat next to the reception area, the inviting eatery has kept some of the delightful original features, which give the interior a wonderfully British character. The relaxed atmosphere includes a well-stocked bar that offers a range of soft and alcoholic drinks.

The Watershed’s easy-going ambience makes it the perfect place to dine. You can while away a few hours over a meal as you prepare for bed before your flight the next day. The breakfast features toast, fruit and cereals with a selection of hot and cold drinks to choose from. There’s also a full English breakfast and eggs cooked in various ways, should you want a little more to start your day with. You can grab your breakfast at the Days Hotel Gatwick between 6am and 9.30am for £5.50 per person.

If you fancy a snack during the day, then the menu at the bar is perfect. Order jacket potatoes and baguettes, or more meaty bites like burgers and other pub favourites. Priced from £8.50, the a la carte menu in the evening includes delicious dishes such as sirloin steak, chicken supreme and deep-fried Camembert. Meanwhile, the table d’hote offers you three irresistible courses that include chicken liver pate and baked salmon fillet. Dinner is served between 6pm and 9.30pm, with the convenient room service filling in for later eaters.

The Gatwick Days Hotel is easy to find once you’re off the M23. It’s positioned on a main road, so you’re unlikely to miss it.

If you’re arriving at the hotel by car, leave the M23 at junction 9a and join the A23.
At the next roundabout, you’ll need to take the fourth exit onto Brighton Road.
At the large roundabout with the Shell garage, take the second exit onto Bonehurst Road and the Days Hotel Gatwick should be on the right hand side.

If you’re coming by rail, then the easiest route to the hotel is by taking the train to the Gatwick airport station and using the yellow telephone outside the terminal building to arrange a free transfer to the hotel. You’ll only have to wait up to 20 minutes for the shuttle bus to arrive, with a quick ten-minute trip to the hotel free of charge afterwards. If you’re at the South terminal, then the yellow telephone is positioned at ground level at stand 12. Meanwhile, at the North terminal the telephone can be found at the hotel coach stand in the middle lane, on ground level.
