AG’s Grill Room at the Alexander House hotel provides guests and visitors alike with upmarket dinner options, presenting twists on traditional menu options alongside high quality grilled dishes. The restaurant is open from midday until 2pm and 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

The dinner menu at AG’s Grill Room is an attractive, sophisticated list of cuisine to rival any other high-end restaurant – unsurprising, given that the restaurant has received two AA rosettes. Starters are from £12, with main dishes beginning at £26. The grills on offer include Dover sole, beef, and steak in truffle sauce. You can complete your meal with either a delicious dessert or the appetizing cheeseboard with truffle honey.

Reflections restaurant

Serving food throughout the day, the Reflections restaurant is a calm and mellow place to eat, a more informal atmosphere for contrast and choice. Al fresco dining in the courtyard is the popular option during the summer months, with a fire pit providing warmth and an attractive glow. Breakfast is served from 7.30am – 10.30am. Lunch at Reflections is from midday until 3pm, and dinner is served from 6.30pm – 10pm.

The hotel also upholds British dining tradition by serving afternoon tea, allowing for indoor or outdoor seating dependent on the weather. Feast on finger sandwiches, scones, cake and pastries, with both tea and champagne available. Afternoon tea is served between 3pm and 6pm.

Reflections’ menu combines familiar meals with twists on classic dishes, creating a special and unique range to suit most tastes. The menu offers starters from £9, main courses from £16, and desserts at £8.50. Side dishes are priced at £4 each. The menu also offers a decent range of teas and coffees to finish.

The Alexander House Gatwick is just over 10 miles from the airport – close enough to reach the terminals in plenty of time for your flight, but comfortably tucked away from city noise and major road traffic.

  • If you’re arriving at the Alexander House hotel by car, exit the M23 at junction 10 and follow signs for East Grinstead.
  • At the second roundabout, follow the signs for Turners Hill (B2028).
  • When you’ve reached Turners Hill Village, turn left at the crossroads on the B2110 to East Grinstead.
  • After about 1.5 miles, you’ll see the Alexander House Hotel on the left hand side of the road.

East Grinstead is the closest rail station to the hotel, and it’s directly served by trains from Victoria and London Bridge. From both of these stations, you can transfer easily to the London Underground and National Rail services.

The Alexander House hotel also has a private helicopter pad; landing spots must be booked by appointment with the hotel before arrival.
