Breakfast at Restaurant 1881 includes an impressive table service that’s friendly and fast. There’s plenty on the menu, including English breakfast, haddock, pancakes, porridge and Eggs Benedict. Meanwhile, dinner features a fixed-price two or three-course table d’hote menu that offers impressive dishes such as pink lamb rump and chocolate torte, complemented by a great wine list. Over in the Patio Bar, the menu includes sandwiches and simpler meals that are equally as delicious as the fine cuisine on offer at Restaurant 1881, including children’s meals.

Directions to the Stanhill Court Gatwick

The Gatwick Stanhill Court is simple to find by car, and is away from the bustle of the busy main roads around the Gatwick airport site.

To reach the hotel by car, exit the M23 at junction 9 and take the second exit at the roundabout, onto the A23. You’ll then pass the South and North terminals and reach the Longbridge Roundabout, where you should take the first exit onto Povey Cross Road.
Continue along Povey Cross road onto Charlwood Road and later Horley Road.
At the village of Charlwood, you’ll see brown signs that direct you towards the hotel. Following the signs, you’ll turn right after the Half Moon pub and then left towards Stan Hill.
Follow the road for around half a mile, until you reach a sharp left hand turn into the Stanhill Court Gatwick grounds. The entrance can be a little tricky to notice, but the circular road mirror on the bend by the entrance is a good marker that you’ve arrived.

If you’re arriving to the area by train, there are two nearby stations: Horley station and the station at Gatwick airport. The hotel is just a ten-minute taxi ride from both of these stations.
