The Europa Hotel Gatwick gives you a tropical start to your holiday before you’ve even stepped foot on your flight! Like many of our many Gatwick hotels, the Europa has a great range of on-site activities, including impressive gym and fitness equipment, and a swimming pool that adults and children alike can make the most of.

The 213 rooms at the Europa Hotel at Gatwick are large and comfortable, decorated in a distinctive Tunisian style. In fact, the entire hotel has a warm Mediterranean feel that leaves you wondering whether you’ve already arrived at your destination overseas. It’s located just five miles from Gatwick airport terminals, and only a few minutes from the M23, so it’s simple to get to the terminal to catch your flight. Plus, parking at the Europa Gatwick couldn’t be easier: your car will either stay in the on-site car park while you’re away, or be stored in a secured car park and delivered back to the Gatwick Europa when you return.

The Gatwick Europa has facilities and décor that will put your whole family in the holiday spirit from the moment you arrive. The hotel features impressive leisure facilities that give you the opportunity to relax and rejuvenate before you catch your flight. The large indoor swimming pool is perfect for an afternoon dip with your family, or for a few relaxing lengths before you head off to bed. Meanwhile, the hotel’s gym includes a range of exciting fitness equipment that lets you grab a pre-flight workout to keep you looking in great shape on the beach. You can choose to dine in either the Mediterranee Restaurant, which overlooks the hotel’s stunning gardens from a mezzanine level, or the cosy Rafters Bar on the ground floor. The Mediterranee serves a delicious English or continental breakfast, followed by a comprehensive carvery in the evening. The whole family can take a walk in the gorgeous gardens, with their Spanish-style archways, and then relax in the lounge with Wi-Fi or a free evening newspaper. Alternatively, make the most of the fitness facilities – the Europa Gatwick has something for every member of your family to enjoy.

Parking at the Gatwick Europa Hotel

There are 450 spaces at the Europa Gatwick, so you will be sure to find a space when you arrive. You can choose to leave your car safely at the hotel car park for the duration of your holiday, or have it stored in a secured car park with security fencing and barrier, operated by Maple Manor’s Meet & Greet service. A shuttle bus operates between the hotel and Gatwick, so you can catch a ride easily to your terminal and enjoy a return trip from the terminal when you arrive back in the country.

Procedures

Once you’ve arrived at the hotel and checked in, your car will either be left in the Gatwick Europa car park while you’re on holiday or transferred to a fully secured car park operated by Maple Manor. If you have chosen the Maple Manor Meet & Greet option, simply hand your keys in to the dedicated car check-in desk at the hotel and an attendant will take your car to the secured Maple Manor car park. They will then return it to you at the airport terminal once you’ve arrived at the terminal after your return flight.

Getting to and from Gatwick airport

The G4 shuttle bus operates between Gatwick airport and the Europa Gatwick around every 45 minutes, taking approximately 15 minutes to reach the Gatwick airport terminals and operating 24 hours a day. A return journey costs £5 per adult and £2.50 for children aged from two to 16.

Dining and drinking at the Gatwick Europa

Mediterranee Restuarant

The Mediterranee sits on a mezzanine level overlooking the hotel grounds and serves hearty breakfasts and and a delicious dinners. Breakfast at the Mediterranee Restaurant is served from 6.30am to 9.45am and the choice is between a full English or continental meal. The continental is also available from 5am for those if you’re catching an early flight. A full carvery dinner is served from 6.30pm to 9.45pm and includes meat, fish and vegetarian options. If that isn’t enough to fill you, then the dessert tray definitely will!

Rafters Bar

The ground-floor Rafters Bar serves drinks and light meals from noon to 10pm, so it’s perfect for guests who need to head to bed before the carvery at Mediteranee kicks off in the evening. It’s an informal and cosy retreat that’s an alternative to the bustling restaurant upstairs. Downstairs at the Rafters Bar, the quintessentially British menu includes fish and chips, steaks, burgers and much more – all priced at pocket-friendly rates. There’s also salads and soups for lighter eaters, which are perfect as a pre-flight snack.

Sitting a mere five miles from Gatwick airport, the Europa Gatwick is just a stone’s throw from the M23 and a few miles from Three Bridges, the nearest railway station.

  • From the M23, take the junction 10a and then turn right at the roundabout onto the B2036.
  • Continue across the motorway bridge until you see the Europa Gatwick situated on your right.

A taxi transfer from Three Bridge station to the Gatwick Europa costs around £5, or you can depart the train at Gatwick airport and catch the 24-hour G4 shuttle bus to the hotel.
