Parking

The hotel has 150 well-lit parking spaces in an enclosed on-site car park.

You can choose to either park at the hotel and leave your car here for the duration of your stay. To get to Manchester Airport, just speak to a member of staff at reception who will organise you transfers to and from the airport for you, free of charge.

Alternatively, you can opt to park at the Mercure overnight and then move your car on the morning of your flight to either Manchester Official Long Stay T1 and T3, or Manchester Official Long Stay T2, depending on which terminal you’re flying from. Your car will remain at the airport car park for the duration of your holiday. Both car parks are a 10 to 15 minute drive from the hotel.

Procedures

Upon arrival at the Mercure Bowdon, select a space for your car and then proceed to check in at the hotel reception. It’s as uncomplicated as that – leave your car for the duration of your trip, safe in the knowledge that it’s stored at the hotel.

After you’ve returned from your holiday and landed back at Manchester Airport, you can arrange a transfer with the hotel to bring you back to the Manchester Mercure Bowdon to collect your car.

They’ll book it at a time that suits you and gets you to the airport on time for your flight – and they’ll also book a transfer back to the hotel once you’ve returned from abroad. Although it’s located off the Manchester airport site, the Manchester Mercure Bowdon can be found in the pretty village of Hale, where it’s completely accessible by road and not far from the nearby rail station.

  • Exit the M6 at junction 19 and join the A56 towards Altrincham. You’ll need to go straight across at the subsequent two sets of traffic lights.
  • At the large roundabout take the second exit towards Altrincham. You’ll know you’re in the right place if you pass a Total petrol garage on your right.
  • At the first set of traffic lights, take the right turn onto the B5161 Park Road towards Bowdon and Hale.
  • Travel for around a mile down this road, until you see the hotel on your right.

If you’re arriving at the hotel using National Rail services, the nearby Hale railway station is the most accessible for the hotel. The station is a walkable distance from the hotel, although taxi services are also available.
