The emphasis at this hotel is definitely on an experience that’s as fun for the kids and it is for adults. What’s more, it’s just two miles from the airport, and although parking isn’t guaranteed as secured, it costs just £12 a day to leave your car at the hotel while you’re away.

Amongst its many assets, the Holiday Inn M4 J4 Heathrow leads the way in terms of on-site facilities for guests to make the most of. There’s a restaurant, bar, leisure facilities, coffee bar, cash machine, convenience store, concierge service and children’s playroom. If you can bear to sit down for five minutes, then you’re sure to enjoy your stylish and well-equipped en-suite room.

Taking everything you need and collecting it into one building, the Heathrow Holiday Inn M4 J4 has something for everyone. The hotel has 450 parking spaces, easily accommodating guests who arrive by car. An overnight fee of £12 applies, and this is charged by the night. There are nine accessible spaces for disabled guests, and the car park is monitored by both CCTV and a security patrol.

Getting to and from Heathrow airport

To get to check-in, all you need to do is catch a Hoppa bus from outside the hotel. There are transfers to and from the hotel and the airport terminals, roughly every half an hour. The H1 bus takes you to Terminals 1 and 3 and runs every 20-30 minutes from 4.20am until 10.55pm. For Terminals 4 and 5, the H51 bus runs half-hourly between 4.25am and 11.55pm.

Transfer charges

If you buy a ticket in advance, the Hoppa costs £4 one way or £7 return. You’ll pay £4.50 single and £8 return if you buy directly from the driver. As long as there’s a paying adult in your group, up to two children under the age of 15 can travel for free.

The Rotisserie is open for every meal of the day, from the Great British Breakfast in the morning through to a mouth-watering rotisserie menu each evening. The menu includes smaller dishes for children – and as kids under 13 eat for free, they can be adventurous and try something new.

For a more casual and laidback dining experience, make your way to the hotel’s Lobby Lounge, located on the ground floor. The hotel’s 24-hour room service is ideal for guests who’d like to dine in privacy, as the full food menu from across the restaurants is available for you to choose from.

The range of meals on offer at the Rotisserie includes traditional British favourites and more exotic cuisine – you’ll find sausage and mash alongside fajitas on the menu. If you’re still not quite full after your main course, try one of the deliciously wicked desserts. We recommend the profiteroles, but you could also pick cheesecake or a tall ice cream sundae if you’re in the mood.

Sampans has an eclectic menu, serving dishes that represent no less than seven countries. There’s a selection of more familiar starters including chicken satay and spring rolls, and the main courses cater to fans of seafood, vegetarians, and those who like their meal with extra spice – the massaman curry is a true taste of Thai cuisine. The restaurant also offers an extensive wine list to complement your choice of dish.

The lounge bar serves simple meals at lunchtime, offering lighter bites alongside their drinks list for guests who just fancy a snack. Visit to enjoy the chilled atmosphere and a coffee during the day, or something stronger in the evening to help you unwind before bed. At Callaghan’s Irish pub, there’s a vibrant atmosphere and a full selection of wines and spirits.

Directions from

As you’d expect from the name, the hotel is right next to junction 4 of the M4, so it’s almost impossible to miss.

Leave the M4 at junction 4. If you’re coming towards the airport from the West, go left at the roundabout. Guests arriving from the East should turn right.
At the next roundabout, take the first exit onto the A408 (Holloway Lane). Follow the road underneath the motorway.
Turn left at the next roundabout onto Sipson road, and the hotel will be on your left-hand side.

If you’re planning to arrive at the hotel by public transport, your easiest route is via the Terminals 1-3 Underground station at the airport. It links you to central London and the rest of the country via the Piccadilly line.
