Procedures

Upon your arrival at the Copthorne Gatwick Hotel, leave your car in the hotel car park and check in. You can then prepare for your holiday in the knowledge that your car doesn’t need to be moved again until you get back. Your car will be kept at the hotel.

When you return, you can take the transfer bus from the terminal straight back to the hotel to collect your vehicle – a straightforward and quick solution. There will be a pick-up point right outside the terminal.

Getting to and from Gatwick airport

On the morning of your flight, simply check out of the hotel by midday at the latest. Leave your car in the Copthorne Gatwick Hotel’s car park and take a transfer bus to the airport. The buses run hourly from 5.05am until 8pm on a loop, from the Copthorne Hotel Effingham Park to the Copthorne Hotel London Gatwick, carrying on to both airport terminals and then back again. Charges for the transfer bus are £4.25 for adults, £2 for children (aged 6-12), and £9 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children up to the age of 12). Times and prices for your return to the hotel at the end of your holiday are the same. Please note that charges are subject to change, so it’s always worth double checking with the hotel before you travel.

Located just off junction 10 of the M23, the Gatwick Copthorne Hotel is conveniently close to several major roads and is easy to find.

  • If you’re travelling to the hotel in your car, leave the M23 at junction 10 and take the A264 towards East Grinstead.
  • At the first roundabout, take the third exit. The hotel will be signposted as you leave the roundabout.

If you’re arriving by rail, the transfer bus from both Gatwick airport terminals operates hourly from 5.05am until 8pm, and provides the best link to the hotel. The Copthorne Hotel Gatwick is also served by 3 buses: the 400 between East Grinstead and Caterham, the 82 between Crawley and Haywards Heath, and the 84 between Crawley and East Grinstead.
